This application measures & records the atmospheric pressure at constant time intervals and makes the recordings available for further analysis.
It can be used to record the low-frequency air pressure variations (infra-sound) coming from sources like:
* Wind-induced turbulent flows
* Working heavy construction equipment
* Internal combustion engines
* Specialized infra-sound sources
* etc.
The recordings are uploaded/shared, and can then be analyzed by any tool able of processing time series data stored in comma-separated format (aka Excel, Matlab and so on).
The pressure is measured by the built-in atmospheric pressure sensor that is present in many modern mobile devices. The precision and the sampling rate of the pressure measurements depend on the device's OS and on the actual sensor hardware. The sensitivity of the current common pressure sensors is around 0.1 mBar, and the maximum sampling frequency is around of 10-30 Hz.
